Hey,
It's been..... well, ages since I've been here, and that's because I (and a majority of my friends) have moved to MySpace, the coolest place to be, apparently!
I won't be here anymore, go here:  http://www.myspace.com/jeyus to catch up with me.

Thats all!

Keep smiling,
Jess

Time:06:45 pm

Yes, I know. It's been ages, and it's not like nothing has happened.

Christmas was wonderful, and not just because I got 2 weeks off work! We had our staff Christmas party on Thursday 21st December at  Beyond India on O'Connell St. It was great and it was nice to be around everyone in a relaxed, non-working environment. I saw a side of some of my superiors that I'm not likely to see again until next Christmas!
On Friday we had the whole work-site Christmas break-up which included a free lunch and a piss-up at the Seacliff! I got to meet people from all sorts of different areas at work that I would rarely come across otherwise.
Then I was on HOLIDAYS!!
Christmas lunch was at our house with my Dad's family. Little Aurelia was here and received the most presents out of everyone! I think Christmas in our family will be for her benefit from now on, which is great because we'll keep it happening for another 15 years at least! We then went to my Mum's parent's place for dinner and just chilled pretty much.
New Years was spent down the bay drinking awesome iced coffee's from Starbucks! Have I mentioned that I LOVE Starbucks?! Well, I really do! Especially their Iced Caramel Macchiato and Iced Gingerbread Latte (Christmas only).

After Christmas I bought a new camera! A Sony DSC-H5 and it's absolutely awesome. Makes it near impossible to take a bad picture!

I also got a new haircut from..... Hair Machine! Still not completely sure if the price was worth it but it looks pretty good, but I do have to style it now which I never really had to do. I also bought a hair straighter for the previously said reason.
That's about all I have to say.
Hugs!

I suppose it's about time to show you all a photo of Bob, or as she's better known, Aurelia Rose!
Here's the little angel when she fell asleep lying on my lap.

She's so gorgeous!

Anyway, other news. I threw up at work today in the disabled toilets and they sent me home. Someone drove me so I had to leave my car at work. So yeah, kinda embarrassing.
Ummm, Christmas is much closer now. The decorations are up in the lab, our lab Christmas party is coming up, so that should be fun. I'm planning on buying a new outfit for it!

Ok, that should hold you for a while.

Working 6:30pm-6:30am Saturday and Sunday, no need to tell you how much that bites! The only compensation is apparently I'm going to get quite a bit of cash, which I can live with!
Yeah, so it's now 12:50 Saturday afternoon. I had a normal nights sleep last night and will have a nap later this afternoon, hopefully that works to keep me sane tonight!
A majority of people at work went to the U2 concert Thursday night, kinda making me wish I'd gone. Especially when I heard they sang their new song, which I am presently in love with. But I reckon it sounds better when it's sung with Green Day. If you get the chance to hear "The Saints are Coming", do it!
Anyway, short update today.
Have a brilliant weekend (because I wont be)!

Love Jess

Subject:Stupid Bee...
Time:07:38 pm
Current Mood:crazycrazy

Hey everyone,
Life is pretty nice, pretty good, pretty like life should be. EXCEPT... for the stupid directionless bee that ricoshayed off my side mirror today while I was driving down Main South Road. It then hit my head and sat in my hair for a while. I didn't freak or anything but when I went to brush it out, it fell down onto my leg and bloody stung me! Through my jeans! It hurt like hell because its little stinger was stuck through my jeans and into my leg and it took ages to get it out. So yeah, kamikaze bee is now dead, thanks to his need to inflict pain on me. Stupid bee!
On a happier note, the weekend just gone was brilliant! Didn't get home from work until midnight on Friday, but I still managed to get up and on the train by 7:15am to take my little cousins to the Christmas Pageant in the city. It was really nice, and the weather was good and we got a prime possie.
Once the pageant was over, I went home and took a nap to get ready for Jess B's 22nd at Night Train, which I was REALLY looking forward to! I got up and got ready and took the train into the city. I walked all the way from the station to Light Square in my heels (bit of a mistake) and met B, Darren, Rose, and Michael in front of the place, and B's Mum and Caitlin. Then came Stuart, Adam, Rhiannon, Elise, Richard, Kate, Aly, and Katherine. Out the front was a dominatrix and a couple of guys in leather and face paints directing people in. We went into the front bar area and the dominatrix came up to Darren and made him her puppy, leash and all!
Then came the tunnel! A skeleton looking guy in a long coat and no pants (Throbbo - he had massive calves too - freaky looking!) and a girl in an army uniform (Private Parts) showed us in and we met Rigor Mortis and Dementia along the way. There was meant to be groping and poking and stuff in the tunnel (that thought scared me) but it turned out to be just jets of air!
We came out and were seated and met our waiter, eVolvo - a guy with a red wig and a green face (or was it a green wig and a red face?). He was pretty cool and really looked after us. Jess and I also reckoned he looked really familiar, we're still not sure why. I still laugh when I remember what Jess said to eVolvo when we were ordering cocktails, she wanted this drink called a "Flick of the Bean" (not a Japanese Slipper like eVolvo suggested) and her exact words were, in a whining complaining voice: "I want a flick of my bean", which of course, especially in the setting we were in, sounded completely seedy and pornographic! But that's Jess!
The first couple of hours were spent with the occasional comedy on stage, which mostly meant completely picking on people in the audience, and the entree and main course (which was yum!). Jess went up on stage with other people celebrating birthdays to get a free shot. She was pretty good at not getting totally embarrassed by the stuff they were saying, I would've been completely red!
Then the show started. It was called "Dracula: Stiff at Last", and yes, considering the fact that the final scene was Dracula as one giant penis, it means exactly what it says. It was really good, and makes me wish I'd seen some of their other shows.
After the show, they all sang "Time Warp" and people got up on stage and danced.
We then got to see everyone sans-makeup out in the front bar. Most of them looked as you'd expect, except maybe eVolvo, that's when we realised we must've seen him somewhere before - who knows?!

And that was the end of the night. Such a brilliant place and I would go back in a heartbeat (probably even quicker if it wasn't so expensive!). So a massive THANKS to Jess B for throwing the party of the year! YAY!! Let's go back quick!!

And that wasn't even it, we went out again Monday night (B's actual birthday) to Cha Chi's Mexican Cantina for all-you-can-eat burritos, nachos and tacos! Yum!
I love spending time with all my friends, they're such an entertaining group of people!

That's all for now!

"Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane..."

Yep, two months early but Father Christmas will be here on Saturday. I'm taking my cousins to the Credit Union Christmas Pageant and to tell you the truth, I'm probably more excited than they are! I don't know what it is about Christmas that makes me smile. I reckon it's probably that people seem just that little bit more happy than they usually are. And everything is so colourful! I always make a detour to the Christmas area in Myers at Marion just because it's so pretty!
So yeah, catching the train at 7:12am and walking around the city so early in the morning with a steaming hot chocolate and reserving that spot among the petunias on the median strip of King William Road is all part of my Christmas Pageant ritual! This year will be special because for four years I haven't been able to go because of year 12 and uni exams which usually fell a week or so afterwards.
So, yeah. I'm excited!

And, the incredibly sweet and wonderful icing on the Christmas cake... Jess B's Night Train birthday party is that night!! Yay!! This should be an awesome weekend!! Pity she doesn't want presents though, I love buying presents! But no problem, I found the perfect card for my Princess Jess!
AWESOME WEEKEND COMING!

Well, this evening I got to meet my new little cousin for the first time! She's so tiny with tiny cherub lips and whispy brown hair. I held her and tried to imitate the strange faces she was making, I think she poked her tongue out at me!
I can't wait until Christmas, it'll be great to experience it with an innocent little child again.
We tried to take photos of her but the bright light made her wince, so we'll wait until she's at home.
Peter and Jane loved the presents, I'm happy because I picked them out. Managed to get to Marion this afternoon to buy some girly clothes once we knew the sex.

So happy!
Love Jess

Welcome to the world... Aurelia [insert middle name here] Hill!!

A little girl was born around 1pm this afternoon at the Flinders Medical Centre and she's my new cousin!
We still aren't completely sure how to pronounce her name as there was static over the phone when we were told. I think it might be Or-ree-lee-a. I looked it up and apparently it means "golden".
So yeah, baby Bob is really not a Bob, more of a Roberta!
We'll probably go to visit them tomorrow or Wednesday evening.

I'm so excited!!

Hi everyone!
Well, this weekend has been wonderful! The weather's been glorious, I've spent the day wearing out my feet and my wallet at Marion, my aunt is going into hospital tonight to get prepped for her pregnancy induction, and T. Kelly ROCKED at Indy! YAY!

Well, let's start with the shopping list! Jeans (finally), sunglasses (again... finally - snazzy Oakleys too!), two swishy skirts, some make-up, and a beautiful musical bear for my soon-to-arrive cousin!

I also went to the Central Markets on Friday night with my Dad, bought some mangos, yummy!

So yeah, Jane and Peter came over this afternoon on their way to Flinders Med. I supplied them with plenty of champagne for their many celebrations to come and had one last look at her MASSIVE tummy! (just kidding Jane!) Should be going into visit them sometime next week, can't wait!!

Also, whoever invented the "Union Picnic Day" at my work is wonderful! A day off for me tomorrow!

Everything's sunny!

Love Jess

Subject:Bob at 36, 37 and 38 weeks
Time:05:23 pm
Current Mood:cheerfulcheerful

http://www.jennibug.com/baby6mosa.jpg

36 weeks
Baby Bob is still putting on the pounds — about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds and is a little less than 19 inches long. At the end of this week, baby Bob will be considered full-term. (Babies between 37 and 42 weeks are considered full-term; a baby born before 37 weeks is pre-term and after 42 is post-term.) Most likely he's in a head-down position by now, which is optimal for a smooth delivery, but if he isn't in the next week, the provider may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying he'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position manually, by manipulating him from the outside of the belly.

37 weeks
Congratulations Peter and Jane! The pregnancy is now considered full term — meaning baby Bob  is developmentally ready to handle life outside the womb. Bob probably weighs a little over 6 pounds at this point and measures between 19 and 20 inches, head to heel. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. It's not surprising if baby Bob's hair isn't the same color as the parents. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children are born blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

38 weeks
Baby Bob has really fattened up. He likely weighs between 6 and 7 1/2 pounds now (boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls), and he's probably between 19 and 20 inches long. He has a firm grasp, which we'll soon be able to test with our pinky! His organs are fully developed and in place, but his lungs and brain — though developed enough for him to function now — will continue to mature right through childhood.
We're all wondering what color baby Bob's eyes will be? We may not be able to tell right away. If Bob is born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If he's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)

Well, it's about to happen. Jane will probably be induced on Monday 23rd October and Baby Bob will arrive either late Monday or early Tuesday! EXCITING!! :)
